These Jericho flowers from Mexico are of great use in many spells where you are seeking to bring to life that which has died or to bloom energy you need in your life. Sometimes called the Rose of Jericho, or resurrection flower, many Christians rehydrate them during Easter and Christmas as a sign of resurrection.
Invite energy you need into your life while watching it bloom - sit it on a bed of tumbled carnelian for example to bring creativity to bloom. Or green aventurine for luck such as a new home or job. Use labradorite for new opportunities, citrine for money...the only limit is your imagination! Write your intentions on a piece of paper before letting it dry and close around the paper, then bury the flower holding your intention to invoke the element of Earth to manifest it - great for prosperity spells or spells for place such as a new home (bury on the property you want to buy if possible!).
Your Rose of Jericho will arrive thoroughly dried and ready to be rehydrated. To bloom your Jericho flower, place in a shallow bowl of lukewarm water, roots down. You can add pebbles or tumbled stones to the bottom of the bowl to help seat your Jericho flower a bit better and add the energy of the crystals to your spell. It will take about 4 hours for it to open, though may not be fully open for a few days.
Once open, you can keep it in "bloom" by periodically changing the water. Without water, it will slowly close and dry again. Make sure it is completely dry before storing to avoid molding - we suggest storing it wrapped in paper or inside a paper bag to help keep moisture from it. Keep in a cool, dry place until you want to bloom it again.
Note: Jericho Flowers are toxic to cats so keep your kitties away! It is natural for small pieces to break off each time you dry/rehydrate it. Just remove any broken bits.
