The central triangles are called The Valknut, The Knot of the Fallen - a Sacred Symbol to Odin, King of the Nordic Gods.

This Magical Knot was self carved into the breasts of
wounded Viking Warriors so their Souls would be carried, by the Valkyries, to Valhalla,
the Heavenly Meeting Hall where the heroes would feast with their Gods forever.
However one would be mistaken to associate this symbol solely with the bloody Vikings.
Norse legends harken back to a long forgotten age where…"Life was considered the 'battlefield' of the Soul,
and to triumphant one had to overcome the forces of darkness in one's own life, allowing the Spirit to shine.
Surrounding the Valknut is a ring with 9 points, symbolic of Odin's Magic Ring.
Nine is described in ancient Norse texts as a Magical Number, a number of Grand Cycles,
and Completion and Closure, This Magical Ring was laid on the funeral pyre of Odin's son,
Baldr (the sun), and represents Reincarnation.
This pendant leads the wearer's Higher Self to Victory over Darkness,
and to balance the triple triangles of Mind, Body, and Spirit bringing Resurrection and Rebirth.
Cast in the US of fine pewter, it measures 1 inch in diameter and is double sided. It comes on a black braided cord with pewter accent bead and a story card.

Pewter is a malleable metal alloy, traditionally 85–99% tin, with the remainder consisting of copper and other metals. It has a low melting point and is very easy to cast in molds. It has been used since ancient times for everything from jewelry to table wear and was once called the "poor mans silver". Generally pewter has a grayish/silver semi-dull finish, though this varies depending on the metals combined with the tin and can be colored black or other shades or plated with gold or silver. All our pewter pieces are lead and nickel free. Pewter is generally hypo-allergenic and will not tarnish or react in most conditions. Note it can break or crack if flexed multiple times and rings cannot be re-sized, though interior ring springs or other adjusters might be used. |
